Description
“Eruption hue“ is made by Unnur Óttarsdóttir in 2022, out of oil on canvas and Icelandic lava that was originally glowing magma in the center of the earth, which then moved to the surface, solidified and became the pieces of lava from which the artwork is made. Iceland is a young country and powerful heat breaks through the surface from time to time. We connect with our creativity when we walk on Icelandic ground. The various colours of the lava depict the diversity of ways in which creativity manifests.

“Goslitir“ er gert af Unni Óttarsdóttur úr olíu á striga og íslensku hrauni sem upphaflega var glóandi kvika í iðrum jarðar og síðan þeyttist upp á yfirborðið, storknaði og varð að þeim hraunmolum sem verkin eru gerð úr. Ísland er ungt land og hitinn sem kraumar í iðrum jarðar brýst upp á yfirborðið af og til. Við tengjumst sköpunarkraftinum þegar við göngum á íslenskri jörð. Margbreytileiki sköpunarkraftsins birtist í öllum regnbogans litum verksins.
